As the most tested and trialled Ambient Voice Technology (AVT) within the NHS, TORTUS AI has proven operational advantages, including a 15% increase in patient assessments per hour and a 35% reduction in clinicians feeling overwhelmed by the burden of note-taking. In high-pressure environments like fast response units, the technology has delivered a 4.8% reduction in combined on-scene and handover times, enabling an additional patient to be seen per shift. These outcomes were observed across more than 16,000 patient encounters across nine NHS sites [1].
TORTUS recently announced that they are the first AVT to achieve Class 2a UKCA certification. Through our strategic partnership, Ortivus is now able to offer trusts a certified medical integration embedded directly into the MobiMed ePR.
Through this integration, TORTUS AI will listen, transcribe, and draft clinical documentation during patient interactions. This innovative approach allows frontline clinicians to dedicate their undivided attention to patients, optimising the documentation process and freeing up valuable time previously spent on administrative tasks. The solution leverages state-of-the-art speech-to-text functionality combined with secure language models, ensuring the generation of high-quality clinical documentation without compromising data privacy. All data is automatically transferred to MobiMed ePR both structured and unstructured and can be leveraged downstream the care pathway.
“Partnering with TORTUS AI reflects our shared vision of using cutting edge technology to support frontline clinicians at the point of care. By reducing time spent on administration and allowing healthcare professionals to focus on patients, we can contribute to better patient outcomes and greater healthcare efficiency.” says Matti Zemack, Chief Product Officer at Ortivus.
“Ortivus are leaders in prehospital technology, and their commitment to safe, clinically regulated products is exactly why we wanted to work with them. Through this partnership, TORTUS’ AI capabilities are now built directly into MobiMed, putting AI directly into the hands of frontline clinicians, where every second counts.” says Dr Dominic Pimenta, CEO and Founder of TORTUS.
The solution has already seen its initial introduction in the UK, marking a significant first step in what Ortivus anticipates will be a broader international rollout.
