Real-world lessons from the NHS frontline: Managing mass casualty events

User Days Dave S MobiMed

As part of our annual Swedish User Days, we want to highlight one of our guest speakers, Dave Sherwood, who shared his extensive experience from over two decades in the NHS Ambulance Service. He walked us through how the UK manages mass casualty incidents using the JESIP framework, structured communication tools like METHANE, and modern triage systems such as TST and MITT.

Dave also highlighted lessons from real events like the Manchester Arena attack, emphasising the importance of interoperability, communication, and shared situational awareness between emergency services. He concluded by showing how MobiMed can support incident management through real-time data sharing, situational awareness, and managing patient flows.

Thank you Dave!
