The Implementation of MobiMed 5 and Integration with Cambio Cosmic in Region Norrbotten

Region Norrbotten has successfully trained all staff and launched the next-generation medical record system, MobiMed 5, replacing the previous system, Aweria.

On November 27, the integration between MobiMed 5 and the overarching medical record system, Cambio Cosmic, was also implemented. The region has previously used MobiMed for monitoring and surveillance, but from August to November, extensive testing, training efforts, and the installation of a new redundant production environment were carried out.

A Successful Collaboration
The project has been characterized by close collaboration between Ortivus and Region Norrbotten. Nicklas Trygg, Project Manager at Ortivus, highlighted the strong commitment from all parties:
“All the work on installations, customizations, integrations (including with SOS Alarm, population registers, and Cambio Cosmic), testing, training, and deployment has been made possible thanks to excellent collaboration. The region’s focus on healthcare needs has been a critical success factor, especially considering that Cambio Cosmic was simultaneously implemented as the region’s overarching medical record system on November 23.”

Ortivus’ Role in the Project
During the intensive project period, Ortivus played a central role, as confirmed by Tommy Mattsson, Technical Manager and Operations Lead for Emergency Care:
“Ortivus has demonstrated great flexibility and has been available for changes and configuration adjustments, which was crucial as we simultaneously implemented Cosmic. Despite resource constraints, we managed to complete all necessary integrations for phase 1 according to the schedule. The cooperation and communication between all parties involved have been key to overcoming challenges and laying the foundation for improved healthcare information management in the region.”

The implementation of MobiMed 5 and its integration with Cambio Cosmic marks an important milestone for Region Norrbotten, aiming to enhance healthcare information management and support staff in their daily work.
